The power of the written word is enormous. I recently read a book called
Cancer Step Outside the Box http://www.cancerstepoutsidethebox.com/
Chris and Max started a colon cleanse and detox today. I ordered a 2 months supply. I wish I could do it, too, but since I'm nursing Noble, I'll just have to wait.

Alternative to organized sports
Chris took the boys this morning to play soccer with some families from church. They left before 6 AM. I'm so thankful that Chris was willing to give in this way to allow our boys the opportunity to play a sport that they enjoy with our friends.

Frozen Japanese Restaurant on a Stick
The last day of our Wilmington trip, God blessed us with a very cool treat.
There was a vendor on the riverwalk who gave me 7 coupons for free lunapops. It was very difficult to choose out of all the yummy sounding flavors there.
Chris was bold and tried the Pineapple Wasabi Ginger. It tasted just like Japanese food.
We all really liked the sea salt caramel. My favorite was the basil. Good thing no one else really thought it was that special, since it was a smaller sample size and I got to eat it all by myself.
It was such a pleasant experience being in that bright and cherry popiscle shop, trying all those interesting and fun flavors.
What a find! It was definitely not a place I would've known to go to. God is so good to us.

The Coronado's visit

Our beloved longtime friends from Hawaii came to visit last week. Benjamin, Miriam, Anna, and Mrs. Coronado stayed with us for 6 days. The day they got here we played at home. Hana, Grace and Anna slept on our airbed. Lucas and I slept on my bed and Benjamin slept on Lucas's bed. Benjamin is 13, Miriam is 11, and Anna is 7. On Wednesday, we tried to go ice skating, but it was closed so we went to a thrift store and then we went bowling. The next day we went to Smith Lake and had a lot of fun. I dived for rocks a lot. Miriam and I were too short to go on the water trampoline, but Lucas and Benjamin were tall enough and played on it. During the breaks we built sand castles. On Saturday we went blueberry picking. I picked about 25 blueberries then I stopped and just started eating. We ended up with about 7 sandwich bags full. A lot of the time we played inside. We played Bibleoply a lot. It was very hard for me when it was time to say goodbye. We wanted them to stay for 10 years. Or more.
