A couple days ago the birds laid two more eggs. I hope they are going to be cute. So that is egg number four and five. The five eggs are really cute.

Our little BOY

Noble has light brown hair that curled so it was very hard to think about cutting it.

One too many asked about our little "GIRL", so it was definitely time.

Our amazing resident barber did an incredible job, once again.  Noble was transfixed with the whole process and didn't move the slightest.

I'm glad he looks like a little boy.  It's still sad, though, that a part of his babyhood seems to have been put away with his lock of curly hair.

The goodness of friends

A gift from wonderful friends today!  To think that I've never cooked rutabagas before.  For shame!

Doggy-sitting

Yesterday our friends the Philips came back as they promised three years ago,
they had a day and a half here then went on Christmas vacation.

They asked if we could doggy-sit their dog, Gabby.  Josiah and I said yes.
On the first day on the job I walked into the house.  Gabby greeted me with angry barks,  Gabby wasn't happy when I got there and so far she still doesn't like me.
The hardest part of taking care of Gabby is getting her inside and outside, she thinks it's her house and she does what she wants when she wants to.
And that is the end of day one out of twenty

OUR BIRDS

Today our bird just laid another egg. I hope they lay another one soon. I can' t wait until they hatch.  Right now the Daddy bird is very protective and has bite a couple of us.

OUR BIRDS

Today our birds just laid another egg. When you want to get a look at the eggs, you just make a noise and the daddy bird comes rushing out. But when the mommy bird is in the nest you can't get her out. I hope they hatch soon.

THE BIRDS

+ =

WE had three birds. THE Mother bird, the Father bird and the daughter bird. But we gave the daughter to some friends. LAST night the mother lay an egg. THEY lay four eggs once before but we decided that the cage was to dirty so we took the eggs out and cleaned it but when we put the eggs back in the mother and father didn't go near them. So we learned that lesson. AND we hope that (it or they) there may be more hatches soon.
